Respite Care Supported Holidays

We offer a number of Supported Holiday options and activities throughout the Country. Each holiday home is self-contained and provides clients with their own room, en-suite and communal areas. Each destination comes with an array of places of interest to visit and activities to partake in. Supported Holidays typically range from a few days away spending on the need. This offers clients a fantastic opportunity to have that much needed break with the safety and support of our social care teams, whilst at the same time, affording immediate family member’s some personal space to fulfil other interests or simply to take their own break.

Respite is short term care that helps a family take a much needed break away from the daily routine of caring for a loved one. Respite can be provided in the client’s home or can be facilitated in a residential setting. Respite care is an essential part of the overall support that families may need to keep their loved ones at home. Every support plan is tailored to each individual’s needs outlining aims and objectives.

Live In Care / Over Night Care

Réalta Healthcare provides overnight and live in care at home for our clients. Our night care in the home service is an excellent option for those who may feel anxious being at home alone at night and so benefit from the companionship or whom may be at risk of falls.

As overnight hours are often higher-risk times for our vulnerable clients, this service is also very popular with family members who wish to have additional security for peace of mind of a trained carer in the home of their family member at night. We also provide night care for clients who are already receiving care from friends or family, enabling them to get a well-deserved rest. Activities like getting in and out of bed, going to the bathroom and mobilising on the stairs all involve higher risk at night.

Everybody is different and each situation is unique, so we will take every aspect of your situation into account and provide appropriate care so that you get the greatest benefit from it.

Our Aim is too

• Assist with bedtime preparation and remaining in the home throughout the night
• Assisting the client to get undressed and ready for bed
• Prompting night-time medications
• Assisting the client to and from the bathroom during the night
• Assisting the client with showering and preparing a healthy breakfast in the morning

Should the client need any overnight assistance, he/she can alert the carers, who will readily come to their need to assist them.
